“Use to” or “Used to” that is the question.

I have always wondered if “use to” or “used to” was the proper English. I even mentioned this in a post a while back. Today I stumbled across the answer.

Because the D and the T are blended into a single consonant when this phrase is pronounced, many writers are unaware that the D is even present and omit it in writing.

I realize this is insignificant information, but I feel relieved. I can now mark that off my “shit to do before I die” list.
