I’m not a big fan of the “hard copy”, that is I don’t like having important documents laying around. I would much rather have them in a digital form stored safely somewhere. I have been known to scan important things and burn them to a CD. In fact last year when I left the country I scanned all my information and mailed them to myself. I realize that’s probably the smartest thing to do, because this information could be intercepted, but it worked and thankfully my identity didn’t get hijacked.
