Today when I came into work at 5 AM to start a 10 hour day, it occured to me that I spend way to much time at work. Because I’m Rainman when it comes to statistics, I had to find out exactly how much time I was spending at work. Here is the breakdown:
I work roughly 48 hours a week X 52 Weeks in a year = 2,496 Hours worked a year.
12 Holidays, 15 vacation days, and 5 sick days a year = 256 Hours.
2,496 hours worked a year - 256 hours of vacation, holidays, and sick days = 2,240 Hours a year.
8,760 hours in a year / 2,240 hours worked a year = (drum roll please)
12 Holidays, 15 vacation days, and 5 sick days a year = 256 Hours.
2,496 hours worked a year - 256 hours of vacation, holidays, and sick days = 2,240 Hours a year.
8,760 hours in a year / 2,240 hours worked a year = (drum roll please)
24% of my life is spent work.
How depressing is that?
