They say that all good things must come to an end, and last night they did. My softball team, which until last night was 6-0, suffered it’s first defeat.
The game started off on a bad foot. First of all, we were missing some people and had to play the game with 9 people when 10 are normally on the field at a time. Also, I was about half lit up before the game. A game of beer pong before the softball game turned into about 3 games of beer pong. I don’t think this really affected the game though, since I’m not really all that good anyway.In other news around the diamond… Derrick’s team played the game after us. His first two at bats resulted in strike outs. And I’m not talking about foul outs. I’m talking about full swing, hurricane force wind generating, couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn, choked on the open net swings.
All in all though, softball is a fun game. Part of the fun is actually heckling other’s for there misfortunes.
